Principal

Managing Member

James founded Frost/Chaddock with the late Guy Chaddock in 1994. He has 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, having started with R.W. Selby & Company in 1987. He personally handles all acquisition and development decisions, and is the managing member of all syndicated investments. James has a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Acquisitions

Before joining Frost/Chaddock in 2014, Jake was a portfolio manager with Macquarie Bank, where he underwrote and managed a $1 billion loan portfolio. With over 11 years of experience, Jake has successfully entitled hundreds of apartment units in Los Angeles. He holds a dual MBA and MRED from the University of Southern California. Jake earned his B.S. in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2000.

General Counsel

John oversees all legal matters affecting Frost/Chaddock and its projects, and oversees syndications and financial reporting. Before joining the company in 2006, he was with the real estate finance group of Stroock & Stroock, and before that with the banking and institutional finance group of Skadden, Arps, both in Los Angeles. He has a J.D. from the University of Michigan, and an M.A. in Economics from Brown University. He earned his B.A. in Economics from Brigham Young University.

FCD Construction, Inc.

Al joined Frost/Chaddock in 2001. With over 35 years of experience in commercial and apartment construction, he oversees all construction, rehabilitation and maintenance projects for the company, as well as all associated budgeting and purchasing. He is also the president of Frost/Chaddock’s general contracting affiliate, FCD Construction, Inc.

Construction Purchasing

Dianne joined Frost/Chaddock in 2007. With over 35 years experience in commercial, residential and apartment construction. Her responsibilities include working with architects and engineers to coordinate and permit plans, manage construction budgets ranging from $30 to $45 million, bidding and purchasing for new construction and remodels, negotiating contracts with subcontractors, and overseeing $261 million in total insured values of portfolio and new properties, office management and overseeing landscape for the portfolio. She earned her A.S. in Business Administration from Moorpark College.

Accounting

Mayette has been with Frost/Chaddock since 2003. With over 30 years of experience in corporate accounting, she oversees all accounting and tax matters for the company and its affiliates, including all construction-related accounting and reporting. Mayette is a key participant in financial planning, preparing budgets and forecasts, handling capital accounts, reviewing budgets, and recommending areas for improvement. She has an MBA from Philippine Christian University, and earned her B.S. in Business Administration from the National College of Business and Arts, Philippines.

Property Management

Kyla joined Frost/Chaddock in 2009. With over 12 years of experience, she oversees management operations for the entire Frost/Chaddock portfolio. She is responsible for assessing comparables and market rents, and handles hiring and training staff. She also assists in establishing policies and procedures, and supervises employees and contractors. Kyla has a B.A. in Communications from California State University Northridge.

Construction Superintendent

Hovik has been with Frost/Chaddock since 2013. He served as construction superintendent for Frost/Chaddock’s landmark West Los Angeles project, M Lofts. He supervises rehabilitation and maintenance for the entire Frost/Chaddock portfolio. Hovik earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Regional Manager

Property Management

Laura has over a decade of experience in the Real Estate industry with an extensive background in the default market and property management field. 

Her leadership skills, integrity, and unwavering dedication combined with her vibrant spirit propelled her to procure an integral part of the Frost/Chaddock family and has been a part of the team since 2018. 

As Regional Manager for their Multifamily Division, she oversees the San Fernando Valley portfolio and helps manage the day-to-day operations with her team.
